South Western Railway to partially cancel Bengaluru-Jolarpettai MEMU on July 14
South Western Railway will partially cancel MEMU trains between Bengaluru and Jolarpettai on 14 July 2026 for engineering works.
South Western Railway has notified the partial cancellation of two MEMU train services between KSR Bengaluru and Jolarpettai on 14 July 2026, to facilitate engineering works, according to a press release issued by the railway zone’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Dr. Manjunath Kanamadi, in Hubballi.
Train No. 66550 KSR Bengaluru–Jolarpettai MEMU will be partially cancelled between Somanayakkanpatti and Jolarpettai and will short-terminate at Somanayakkanpatti instead of running to Jolarpettai. Train No. 66549 Jolarpettai–KSR Bengaluru MEMU will be partially cancelled between Jolarpettai and Somanayakkanpatti and will originate from Somanayakkanpatti instead of Jolarpettai.
The railway also announced separate partial cancellations affecting the Ashokapuram–Dr. MGR Chennai Central Express and the Dr. MGR Chennai Central–KSR Bengaluru Lalbagh Express on 10, 12, 15, 17, 19 and 22 July 2026. Train No. 16552 will be partially cancelled between Katpadi and Dr. MGR Chennai Central and will short-terminate at Katpadi, while Train No. 12607 will be partially cancelled between Dr. MGR Chennai Central and Katpadi and will originate from Katpadi instead.
South Western Railway said the partial cancellations are being carried out to facilitate the safe execution of engineering works along the affected sections.
